In 2008, I was seriously obese, facing health issues caused by my weight, and feeling helpless and hopeless to change the direction my weight and health were heading.  My Body Mass Index (BMI) was 45 when anything over 30 is considered obese.

I felt alone. Now, I’m a relatively intelligent and successful person in most arenas of my life, but my weight had always been the one out-of-control area for me. Between October 2008 and May 2010, though, I’ve dropped 108 pounds, eliminated over 90 inches from around my body, and dramatically improved my blood pressure and overall fitness. I used a very sensible and healthy approach, but more importantly, I learned six key elements that had always defeated my previous diet attempts, and I am now excited to share and help others realize success with their weight and fitness.

I never want anyone to have to feel the isolation, judgment, confusion, and frustration I felt.

Remember when I started in 2008 that my BMI was 45?  Well, in May 2010, my BMI was 28, which is still in the overweight range (25 to 30) but way healthier, and I’m confident now that I’ll get it to a normal range.  Today, I’m living in the Distraction Diet Success Zone where I’m confident and relaxed about my weight and health. It’s a fantastic feeling!
